This page is about my website. How it was built.
This is about my website and how it was built.
If you’re reading this then I have caught your attention. While I have it, let me begin by saying that in the following passages I will tell you who I am, my family, and how life has treated me. I am by all means a typical underachiever and have worked my entire life to survive in this world. So, with your attention, read on as I describe my adventures. I’m sure my life is no different from the majority of working folks in the country.
Since coming of age I have worked the greatest majority of my time in the construction field. I have bounced around from company to company but could never find a home. As soon as the job is over and the thing is built, then the construction worker is put aside for later use. In the meantime, this person must survive the best possible way. This means getting creative.
You're on the "about my website" page.
In the early to late 70s I moved around small companies working on apartment complexes and homes. This didn’t pay very well but was good enough to keep me afloat. In the late seventies I landed a job with one of the bigger construction companies on a paper mill in central Alabama. I stayed there for about eight months and was let go due to lack of work, also known as a “reduction of force”, an ROF.
During this ROF I went to work with a commercial snapper boat at home catching fish. This was a very hard and smelly job but after a few years it didn’t seem so bad. It was a small boat with two or three in the crew. We fished the waters south of Pensacola, Florida and sold the fish at William’s Seafood.
More of "about my website" to follow, keep reading.
I continued to work construction anytime I could find a job but always after a 2 to 5 month lay-off. The fishing would help to hold me over ‘til work came my way. In the mid eighties I landed my first construction job at home. This was wonderful since I didn’t have squabble over living quarters. But as soon as that job was over, guess what, back to fishing.
In 1990 I took a construction job at the paper mill In Ashdown, Ark. The company called me and asked if I would come work for them. They promised a lot of hours and good pay. I went; however, the long hours lasted for one week and left me short on cash. I had to endure several months of less than desirable working conditions, but stayed ‘til I got my ROF. Very shortly after that I hit what I thought would be a gold mine, the best job a person could have.
I hope you are learning about my website.
I joined a company who had a long term government contract with bunches of benefits. For the most part we didn’t do whole lot. Keeping things up and running was the daily grind. As long as things ran fine, we looked busy. We had no problem with that and everybody got on board the busy bandwagon. I did this for six and a half years until the boredom got to me. I quit that job and my wife and I struck out on our own.
I hope this "about my website" page is interesting.
We got CDLs and went into debt for a big rig and leased it to a trucking company. Finally, I thought, I am my own boss. Man, was I wrong. Pick-ups, deliveries, deadlines, the DOT, breakdowns, logbooks, taxes, what a nightmare. We would go out on the road for 2 – 3 months at a time to make enough to pay bills and put some aside. We had no holiday time because most of the drivers went home on holidays so the company paid more for the trips. We had to take advantage of this any time it came along. That lasted four and a half years until we finally had enough.
Afterwards I went back into construction but after finishing school for construction safety. I went to work doing project safety management which I still do today. This brings me to the reason I am writing this page. I said all the above to let you know I am like you, a little fish in a big bowl.
I decided to invest in something long term which to me seemed to be internet connected. I figured this will always be producing income for someone so why not me. More money exchanges hands through the web than any other means. Billions everyday get moved around. If I could get only one tenth of one percent I could retire with ease.
I shopped around and fell for two gimmick sells which went absolutely nowhere. I wasn’t in control of anything there since I had no clue what was going on. So, after a bit I started looking again and found this website called Site Build it. I did quite a bit of reading on it and about it then decided to give it a try. They first assume you know absolutely nothing about the internet except how to log on and look around. Just what I needed, teach me how this works and they did.
You begin with what they refer to as the “Action Guide.” This is a teaching process laid down in a ten day learning format. They tell you upfront that you have as long as you need to grasp the things they are teaching. Work at your on pace.
You begin by deciding what you would like your site to be about. You are told you should have a concept that you love and are knowledgeable about. It is easier to write about something you know than guesswork.

Your next step is to find the best keywords needed to point web surfers in your direction. This isn’t hard as they lead you through each part. They tell you what to look for in the keywords you have found and how to choose the best ones to work with.
I am always exploring keywords about my website
The layout of your site is next. Which pages go where in the site pecking order. They call this step the tier structure of your site. Don’t worry, they lead you through this step also. One piece at a time, you see your site taking shape. Once you get all this done, it took me about 3 weeks, you are finally ready to register your domain name. This is included in your initial payment, no extra charge.
Guess what, your site is alive and running. Everytime you add something to your site you will know if it is designed properly before it is posted. You don’t need to know HTML codes or any of the other complicated things connected to computer jargon. When you are finished typing onto your page, go to the bottom of it. There is a button called “analyze it.” Click that button. If there is anything wrong with the way your put your keyword, content, links, or whatever, you will be told what is wrong and how to fix it. I use it in every step as I am building or adding to a page. I even used it to build this page. It told me to put ten of my specific keyword in the body copy. My specific keyword is "about my website."
More of about my website.
At any point in what you are doing if you get confused there is help. Look for the small button with the question mark inside. Click that for directions on each step of the way. If you are reading this you have found my website.
Look around, I created this all by myself with the help of site sell. I wrote every word and took every picture. I am making money from my site and I love it. If this sounds like a good deal to you then click on the video below and get started.
I will tell you up front that I was shocked at the price. The other web marketers schemes I bought into were more expensive in that I got nothing for my money. The cost of this is $299 a year, fantastic. That's what I love about my website.
I know you can buy into making your own site cheaper, however, ask if they guide you step by step. Do they show you how to rank high with the search engines? If you make a mistake, do you get instant feedback and directions on how to correct it? Do they have forums where you can post questions and receive answers from knowledgeable folks, free?
Do they monitor your site in the background and give you a heads up about anything that adversely affects your site? Do they tell you which of your keywords are doing the best? Do they show you how people’s searches found your site? SBI does this and so much more. You are not alone with SBI. The only thing SBI doesn’t provide you are the ideas, that’s in your court.
Now it’s your turn to give it a go.
Im glad you enjoyed reading about my website.
You can click the video at bottom for phone numbers, or if you prefer to read about SBI then go to the very bottom of this page and click on blue SBI logo.
