Visit Big Lagoon Park in Pensacola and Bring the Kids.

Big Lagoon Park in Pensacola has attractions for the young and old. It allows you to walk along the boardwalk over Long Pond or enjoy the Governor's Pavillion. There is no short supply of things to do and enjoy.
When my wife and I went to the park to take a few pictures we came to a playground with some kids playing. We couldn't resist taking time to watch them and have some fun.
The boardwalks are handicapped friendly.
With so many outdoor activities, it's no wonder this park is a favorite among locals and
visitors alike. Bring your boat, there's a ramp to some good fishing or just boating around. Canoeing
is also available.
Looks like a kayak would fit in nicely.
There are hookups here for campers. Join the group at the campfire circle for some good fellowship. Picnic
tables are present along with public showers.
On my visit I noticed they have a very nice pavillion for having group or family gatherings. There is a nice covered deck with a fireplace, barbeque, plenty of seating, and restrooms very close by.
This would be a great setting for a wedding.
If a sunny day is for you, there is a beach present for that tanning experience. Lounge around the beach
or take a dip, it's your choice. While lounging, try some wildlife viewing.
Nature trails are here with exhibits all throughout. Bring the camera and get some good nature shots. There's no short supply of things to do here.
