Enjoy Yourself at tha Flora-Bama Lounge
The Flora-Bama Lounge and oyster bar in Perdido Key has great times. When you are ready for that great fun time spot, look no further than this lounge. I'll cover some of the attractions here to get you going. They have so much to offer that I can't get it all here, but I'll try.
These next few events have already occurred for 2009, but I want to include them to let you know about them. First of all they have a huge Fourth of July party you will surely want to attend. Next is the Mullet Toss for all ages. This is a great event, sign up. Third is the Annual Mullet Swing Golf Classic. 4th is the Mullet Man Triathlon that includes a 400 yd. swim, 16.2 mile bike ride, and a 4 run race.
There is an Oyster Bar and Grill with a variety of things to eat along with fresh oysters as you like them. They serve burgers, seafood, and sandwiches. They have a children's menu with some good things that kids love. You can get hot wings, frickles, and gumbo.
For music, Monday nights is open mike, so show off your talent. Monday through Thursday the entertainment starts promply at 5pm, Friday at 2pm, Saturday and Sunday at noon. There is a variety of local talent along with the bands. Some upcoming events the Pensacola residents enjoy, on September 11,12,& 13 you can watch the 1st annual Beach Volleyball Tournament. October 2,3,& 4 you will enjoy the Oyster Festival and on the 17th is the Hot to Trot Reverse Duathlon. From November 12 to the 22nd is the Frank Brown International Songwriter's Festival, a huge event. On December 19 is the Make It to the Line 4-Mile Run/ Walk & 1-Mile Fun Run.

This is a great stop so check it out. Don't forget that there is a great beach practically next door at the Perdido Key State Park. C'ya at the Flora-Bama Lounge. The Flora-Bama Lounge also plays host to the Frank Brown International Songwriter's Festival from 11/12/2010 - 11/21/2010. This brings in musicians from around the globe and is a very interesting and entertaining time. This event lasts for 9 days so there is plenty of time to get there to enjoy the music. This festival has been going on for many years and is a tradition in the Pensacola area.
