Don't let this stop you from playing Golf is the primary recreation here at Osceola Municipal Golf Course. From the longest tees the course measures 6405 yards at par 72. This means that players will find it easier to reach the green in regulation. That means lower scores and more pars.

I have played here before with marginal results. I found this course to appear to be an easy layout, however, once I get into play I realize this is not the case.

The fairways are fairly flat with what appears to be an easy go at the green. You will soon find out that your approach is critical. The greens are mostly elevated and are somewhat crowned.

As you approach the green it seems as though a high shot to the center will work, but watch out, if your ball doesn't sit down it could run off the green. The edge slopes can be fairly steep.

Don't let this stop you from playing at the Osceola Municipal Golf Course. You will be pleasantly surprised at the challenge. The course is in pretty good shape with only a few bare spots.

# 18 at Osceola

The course rating is 70 and the slope rating of 114 is on Bermuda grass. The course has been around since 1929 and still plays well. It is a well maintained course and well kept. The fairways and greens are always in good shape. The staff is friendly and nice. The course, although fairly open, is a great challenge to any golfer.

Who's Up Now?

The clubhouse and food are also great. The course has a First Tee program for the kids that they will love. The instructor is very good at teaching the game.
