Pensacola free stuff just keeps on coming!!

You can plan a beach day on the white beaches and also splash in the Gulf of Mexico. Surfing is also allowed as well as soaking up the free sun for a tan.

The Naval Aviation Museum is a free visit. If you have kids, they will love this place. The exhibits are out in the open and hands on.

At the Gulf Islands National Seashore kids can learn about sea life and coastal ecology. The Seashore has many programs for children including Junior Rangers (ages 6-11) and Sea Stars (ages 3-5), Junior Lifeguards (ages 12 - 19). Children can complete Junior Ranger, Sea Star, and Seashore Patch booklets while they are visiting Gulf Islands National Seashore.

Visit the Pensacola Colonial Archaeological Trail for some old, old history. You might even have a chance to dig up some old bones or maybe some artifacts. The kids could learn a lot here. Speaking of searching for interesting things, why not go to Pensacola Beach or Perdido Key and look for sea shells, sand dollars, and maybe some old hermit crabs. Pensacola free stuff sure is fun, ain't it?

 Pensacola Bay Bluffs Park

If you like nature trails, then head to the University of West Florida and check out the Edward Ball Nature Trail located there. In Milton, Fl. you'll find the Heritage Trail, a paved bike and hiking trail that is free to use. Stop by Bay Bluff Park on Scenic Hwy. to check out Florida's only natural bluffs. These are overlooking Pensacola and Escambia Bay. At Big Lagoon Park you can take a hike and enjoy some bird watching along the birding trail while also getting some great views.

Usually on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings The Blue Angels practice in the skies over Pensacola Beach. You can check out their schedule and plan if you would like to see them. There are also some beautiful sunsets to be seen over the beach.

If you like tennis, there is free courts for play at Bayview Park on Bayou Texar or play some disc golf at Shoreline Park in Gulf Breeze.

Pensacola's T.T. Wentworth Jr. Museum is free to investigate, bring the kids. Then stop by the Quayside Art Gallery in downtown Pensacola to view the works of over 200 local artists, free also. On Tuesday there is free admission to the Pensacola Museum Of Art where you can see the traveling exhibits.

I will be adding more Pensacola free stuff as time goes by and more things come along, so check back often.

Santa Rosa Heritage Trail Map As promised, here is some more Pensacola free sfuff to do in Pensacola. In Milton, Fl. there is the Heritage State Trail. It is 8.1 miles long starting just south of Hwy.90 in Milton and winding north to the Whiting Field rear entrance. It supports biking, hiking, rollerblading, horseback riding, and bird watching. The equestrian trail is unpaved and parallels a portion of the main trail. The main trail is paved and is also handicapped friendly. Motorized vehicles are prohibited with the exception of handicap scooters. There is a visitor center about 1 mile from the south trailhead. The trail has benches, bike racks, and water fountains. You are encouraged to bring water for drinking and/or wash-up. I hope you enjoy your outing here.

Pensacola free stuff is still coming.
