Pet Friendly, Pensacola has some nice places to take your pet for some fun.

There are pet friendly locations in Pensacola just waiting for your pet to enjoy. Listed below are the spots I think will hold a good time for you and your pet.

There is the Kritter Krawl Mardi Gras parade on Pensacola Beach each year where animals such as lizards, dogs and even horses are paraded down the streets in their Mardi Gras garb.

Barktober Fest is held every year in October and is the main fund-raiser for the Humane Society. Dogs can enjoy a day in Seville Square eating, playing and competing in contests.

The Pensacola area offers the Bayview Dog Park and Beach, the Roger Scott Complex Dog Park, Shoreline Bark Park and the Navy Point Walking Trail. We are pet friendly.

Here are a few of the pet friendly hotels in the area.

La Quinta, 7750 North Davis Hwy. Pensacola,Florida 32514-7557 800-531-5900 Dogs up to 50 pounds are allowed. There are no additional pet fees. Dogs must be leashed and cleaned up after.

Motel 6, 7226 Plantation Rd Pensacola, Florida 32504 850-474-1060 At Motel 6, service animals and well-behaved pets always stay free.

RV Parks that allow pets: Drifters RV Park, 9110 Untreiner Avenue Pensacola, Florida 32534 850-484-2488 Dogs are allowed for no additional fee; they must be kept leashed and cleaned up after--except when in off-lead area. There is a dog walk area at the campground. There are special amenities given to dogs at this campground.

Lake Kristina,in Milton, Florida is a pet friendly park. The owner, Peanut, is a really nice man who you will like very much. The park is out in the country but not too far. It is quiet and peaceful. The info is: 7353 Munson Hwy., Milton, Fl. 32570 850.623.3734

Pensacola RV Park is a pet friendly park. They ask visitors to follow established policies and to demonstrate consideration for others. Pets must be well behaved and under control at all times and they must be registered so please let us know if you plan to visit us with your pet. Heritage Oaks is a pet friendly park also. They welcome pets but ask they are walked in the pet area and picked up after. Located at 1523 Gulf Beach Hwy,Pensacola, Fl. 32507 (850) 455-8737

Attraction that are pet friendly.

Fort Barrancas allows dogs. Although dogs are not allowed in the fort or other buildings, this historic place offers great scenery, hiking, picnicking, and restrooms. Dogs of all sizes are allowed at no additional fee. Dogs must always be attended, leashed at all times, and cleaned up after. Dogs are allowed on the nature trail and in picnic areas. They are open all year; from March-October they are open from 9:30am-5:00pm, and from November-February they are open from 8:30am-4:00pm.

Doggie Recreation:

Bayview Dog Beach offers pets beach and water fun, and there are benches, picnic tables, trash cans, pooper scooper stations, and a washing station on site. Dogs must be sociable, current on all vaccinations, licensed, and under their owner's control at all times. Dogs must be leashed when not in designated off-lead areas.

Adventures Unlimited Your pet and you can enjoy a canoe trip together for an additional $10 for the dog. Dogs must be kept leashed at all times, and cleaned up after. They are open year round. 8974 Tomahawk Landing Road, Milton, Fl. 32570 Phone 850-623-6197

Scott Complex Dog Park, Summit Blvd. in Pensacola, 850-436-5511, is about an acre in size, this off leash doggy play area offers water fountains for hounds and humans, a pooper scooper station, benches, and picnic tables. Dogs must be sociable, current on all vaccinations, licensed, and under their owner's control at all times. Dogs must be leashed when not in designated off-lead areas.

Pet friendly stores that welcome your dog inside.

Camping World,6242 Gulf Breeze ParkwayH 30/98, Gulf Breeze, Fl. 32563, sells camping and RV supplies.They also welcome your canine companion in the store; they must be friendly and leashed. Ph: 800-713-2557

Pet Smart at 6251 N Davis Hwy. offers pet food, treats, leashes, toys and just about anything else that your dog may need. Your licensed and well-behaved leashed dog is allowed in the store. Ph: 850-476-7375

Veterinary Emergency Referral Center, 4800 N. Davis Highway, 850-477-3914 is an emergency animal hospital that is open 24 hours a day. Please contact them before coming in if possible but you may also walk in without an appointment at any time.
